"The quality of a Sparkland Cavalier Will be Remembered,
long after the Price is Forgotten"

One of Sparkland's own recipes is in this wonderful cookbook!

Doggie Ice Cream

4 cups rice milk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon honey or peanut butter

Set paper cupcake liners into a muffin tin. In a large bowl stir together all ingredients. Use a cup with a spout to pour the mixture into the muffin cups. And freeze.

To serve, remove paper liner & place treat in dog or cat bowl.

Pupsicles

2 cups low salt beef or chicken broth

2/3 cup water

2 or 3 ice cube trays

Small rawhide sticks

Mix water with beef or chicken broth and pour into ice cube trays. Place in freezer and serve cold. Add a rawhide stick halfway through the freezing. This recipe is quick, easy and fun. It's probably best to serve this dish outside.

Yip-Yap Cookies

2 cups flour

1 1/4 cup shredded cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic

1/2 cup vegetable oil

4 tablespoons water

|Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes

Combine flour, cheese, garlic & oil. Knead well, adding water as needed to form stiff dough. Roll out on floured surface to 1/2" thick, cut into bone shapes. Bake until bottom of cookies are lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack.

Doggie Snips

3 cups wheat flour

3 cups oatmeal (uncooked)

1/2 cup wheat germ

6 tablespoons margarine

1/4 cup molasses

1 cup evaporated milk

1 cup water

Mix together the first 3 ingredients. Then thoroughly mix in the last 4 ingredients. Doug will be stiff. Chill for a half hour. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Flatten, place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour

Sweet Tooth Drops

1 large apple

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup water

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup oatmeal

1 1/2 cup wheat flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Core, slice and mince apple. In a large bowl, combine the minced apple bits, honey water, cinnamon and oatmeal. Gradually blend in the wheat flour, adding enough to form a stiff dough. Spoon the dough by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Using the bottom of a glass dipped in wheat flour, flatten each spoonful of dough in a circle. Adjust the size of the drops based on how big a treat you like to feed your dog. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and flip each bake for an additional 30 minutes. Cool completely.
